Sportfishing in Galveston Bay
Galveston Bay is a great place to take the boat out for the day. Redfish, Flounder and Speckled Trout are the most plentiful fish found in East Galveston Bay, running nearly the entire length of Bolivar Penninsula. You can also catch Sheepshead and Grouper.
If you bring your own boat, we recommend the boat ramps at Stingray Marina on Stringray Road.

"Truck Fishin'" at Rollover Pass in Gilchrist, Tx.
A short drive from Crystal Beach, 12 miles - or so - to the east, is Rollover Pass. Rollover Pass has been a landmark fishing spot for locals for many, many years. Rollover Pass is a natural waterway that connects Galveston Bay with the Gulf of Mexico. During certain times of the day, you'll find the tides either washing into the bay, or out into the ocean. Because of this tidal activity, this is one of the best spots on the peninsula to fish.
